Exigent Vehicle Operation Course

This one-day course addresses a topic of critical concern to officers and agencies in contemporary law enforcement . . . the emergency operation of the police vehicle.

The workshop examines the entire realm of exigent vehicle operation by combining four integrated elements crucial to a professional department; inspection and maintenance, vehicle stops, emergency responses, and pursuits. Each of these topics include a comprehensive examination of specific concepts and conditions, performance protocol applications, training implementation suggestions, and format applications.

The presentation will utilize the text, Exigent Vehicle Operation Concepts, authored by the instructor, and will be presented in a true "Train the Trainer" approach. This will allow the participants to return to their agency with the expertize and tools to implement a paralleling program of instruction within an in-service format.
